QA Engineer - Manual & Automation Testing

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Perform manual and automated testing of web applications, mobile applications and software systems. Analyze requirements and prepare effective test cases, test scenarios and test plans. Identify, reproduce, investigate and document software defects. Create detailed bug reports with clear reproduction steps, expected/actual results, severity, priority and supporting evidence. Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, exploratory and usability testing. Perform cross-browser, cross-platform and cross-device testing. Develop and execute automated test scripts and analyze test results. Perform API and database testing, including basic SQL validation. Re-test fixes and perform regression testing to ensure application stability. Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve defects and maintain product quality. Maintain QA documentation and contribute to improving testing processes and automation coverage.

Job Requirements

Candidates should have 6 months-1 year of professional experience in QA/Software Testing and a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field. Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, manual testing, test case development, bug identification/reporting, functional and regression testing is required. Experience testing web and mobile applications, along with basic-intermediate knowledge of test automation, REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, Postman, SQL and relational databases, is highly valued. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and investigate edge cases. Good communication and collaboration skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively with developers and cross-functional teams, manage multiple testing activities and meet project deadlines. Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Git, or similar QA tools will be an added advantage.

Education

Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

6 months - 1 year. Candidates should have hands-on professional experience in software quality assurance and testing, preferably involving web applications, mobile applications, or software systems. Experience with both manual testing and test automation will be highly valued.
