About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and people-oriented HR Assistant to join our team and support day-to-day human resources operations.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of HR practices, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain employee records, coordinate recruitment activities, support onboarding, and assist with general HR administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day HR and administrative activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support recruitment activities including CV screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, and interview scheduling.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Prepare employment-related documents, letters, and HR records.
  • Maintain attendance, leave, probation, and employee information.
  • Coordinate internal HR communications and employee updates.
  • Assist in organizing employee meetings, training sessions, and company activities.
  • Support performance review and probationary assessment processes.
  • Handle employee inquiries and direct HR-related matters appropriately.
  • Ensure HR documents are properly maintained and confidential information is handled responsibly.
  • Assist management with HR reports and administrative requirements.
  • Support the implementation of company HR policies and procedures.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Higher Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in HR or a related administrative role is preferred.
  • Good understanding of basic HR functions and employment practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in recruitment and candidate coordination.
  • Familiarity with employee onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Understanding of attendance, leave, probation, and employee documentation processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Sri Lankan employment and HR compliance practices.
  • Experience using HRIS or HR management systems.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Notion, or similar workplace platforms.
