Are you an experienced AI/ML engineering leader who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution?

• Type: Full-time
• Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office)
• Location: One Galle Face Towers, Colombo

What you’ll be driving:

• Lead and mentor AI Engineers, ML Engineers & Data Scientists
• Own and execute the AI Engineering roadmap
• Build and productionize LLM applications, Generative AI products & AI agents
• Drive AI-powered developer tools and automation
• Champion RAG, agentic systems, MCP and LLM adoption
• Establish AI evaluation, testing, monitoring & observability practices
• Oversee MLOps/LLMOps and scalable AI infrastructure
• Partner with Product, Design, Data & Engineering teams to turn ideas into real-world AI solutions

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in AI/ML
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Strong Python and AI/ML framework experience
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, AI agents & orchestration
• Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure
• Strong understanding of MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD and AI evaluation
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to balance business priorities, strategic thinking and technical execution
