Senior .NET Core Software Engineer

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior .NET Core Software Engineer to lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications, provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and ensure delivery of secure, scalable, high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead design and development of enterprise applications, REST APIs, and microservices using ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core/.NET 8, defining architecture and technical solutions 
  2. Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers
  3. Collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps, QA, and business teams on sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions
  4. Optimize performance, security, and reliability; implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
  5. Integrate third-party APIs/cloud services and identify technical risks with mitigation strategies

Required Skills

  • 6-10+ years of .NET development experience with strong C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET 6/7/8 expertise
  • Extensive experience with REST APIs, Microservices, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server
  • Solid understanding of SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • Experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, Storage, SQL, Key Vault), IIS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and messaging systems (Redis, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus)
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization (OAuth2, Active Directory, JWT, OpenID Connect)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Event-driven architecture, CQRS, and MediatR
  • Distributed systems and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Monitoring tools (Application Insights, Grafana, or Prometheus)

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Mentor engineers, conduct technical interviews, and drive technical excellence and best practices
  • Participate in architecture reviews and lead POCs/technology evaluations
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
