Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize data models and ETL processes for maximum efficiency and performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
• Evaluate and integrate new data technologies and tools to enhance our data ecosystem.
• Document data engineering processes and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of data projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and data warehousing solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, particularly in data services.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
