Intern Accountant

Everest Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern Accountant to join our growing team. This opportunity is ideal for students, fresh graduates, or professional accounting trainees who are looking to gain practical experience in both accounting operations and ERP systems. You will work with our finance team using Odoo ERP to support daily accounting activities while developing valuable skills in financial management, reporting, and business processes. No prior Odoo experience is required, as training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with bookkeeping, journal entries, and financial data management in Odoo ERP • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation activities • Assist in preparing invoices, payment vouchers, expense records, and financial reports • Help maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation • Support tax, VAT, and compliance-related documentation tasks • Assist customers and internal teams with basic accounting and ERP-related queries • Participate in month-end and year-end accounting processes

Requirements

  • Degree or currently pursuing a qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field • HND in Accountancy (SLIATE or equivalent) is also encouraged to apply • Students pursuing AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or similar professional qualifications are welcome • Good analytical and numerical skills • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Preferred Skills

  • Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge • Familiarity with MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications • Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Interest in ERP systems and business process automation
