About the Role

Join Zenlise as an Intern Software Engineer and work alongside our engineering team to build real-world backend systems and web applications.

This is a 6-month remote internship where you will contribute to real client projects, develop production-level software engineering skills, and learn from experienced engineers.

We offer a monthly salary above LKR 30,000, hands-on project experience, and mentorship throughout your internship.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend APIs using Go and Node.js
• Develop and implement client-facing product features
• Write unit tests and fix bugs
• Participate in team code reviews
• Document technical implementations and ship your work
• Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver real-world solutions

Requirements

• Currently studying for or recently completed a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
• Understanding of Git, REST APIs, and SQL fundamentals
• Good written and spoken English
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and take ownership of tasks

Nice to Have

• Experience building projects using Go or Node.js
• A GitHub profile showcasing personal or academic projects
• Basic knowledge of Docker or cloud deployment
• Experience working with databases and backend frameworks
