About the company

Our client is a large technology delivery centre in Colombo, backed by an international group. It runs cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines for enterprise products and client accounts across several regions.

About the role

Senior or lead level, mostly Azure-first with some AWS/GCP; build and run.

What you'll do

  • Build and run cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform across Dev, Test and Prod
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps YAML, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or GitLab CI)
  • Operate containerised workloads on Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE) with Docker and Helm
  • Set up monitoring, logging and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana and similar) and define SLOs
  • Lead incident response and root-cause analysis to SLA, with on-call where required
  • Build DevSecOps into delivery: code/SCA scanning, secrets, IAM, network policy
  • Lead and mentor DevOps engineers

What you need

  • 6+ years in DevOps, cloud or infrastructure engineering (5+ for senior IC roles; 7+ for lead/architect)
  • Strong Terraform (or similar IaC)
  • Hands-on with Azure (IaaS/PaaS, AKS) and/or AWS (EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC)
  • Docker and Kubernetes in production
  • CI/CD tooling plus scripting in Bash, PowerShell and/or Python
  • Linux and Windows server administration and networking basics (DNS, load balancers, VPN, TLS)

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Ansible, SonarQube, Dynatrace, New Relic, OpenTelemetry
  • .NET/Node.js pipelines; SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance work
