DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team in Jaffna. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, network security, and building highly scalable systems in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Implement, migrate, and maintain highly available infrastructure on Azure and Kubernetes, working closely with Software Engineering and QA teams.
  • Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable and efficient deployments.
  • Support cloud infrastructure across multiple regions and collaborate with IT teams to provision, manage, and monitor Azure cloud services.
  • Manage disaster recovery scenarios, including geo-replication strategies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of critical incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure with hands-on Kubernetes involvement.
  • Drive rapid CI/CD deployments to production across multiple regions.
  • Partner with engineering teams to automate processes and introduce new technologies for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and related infrastructure.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud, DevOps, and network security technologies. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on DevOps experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Experience hosting applications within the Azure ecosystem, including Azure DevOps build and release management.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and build tools.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, ARM, and Azure CLI.
  • Experience implementing service mesh technologies such as Istio.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking and network security, including DNS, Firewalls, VPNs, Public Gateways, Load Balancers, security groups, and access controls.
  • Monitoring expertise with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, with familiarity with Datadog.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows administration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
