Software Quality Engineer - Test Automation

Job Description

Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Work with Product QA and Development teams to design and automate scenarios based on the requirement specifications.
• Participate in regular team stand-ups, updates, weekly product platform and agile sessions when required.
• Involve in training platform Quality Engineers and junior Test Automation Engineers in Automation Testing.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years of industry experience in Software Test Automation.
• Solid practical understanding of Agile Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of Software Engineering concepts and practical applicability of OOP concepts.
• Strong understanding of automation test concepts and how they are applied.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit and Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Experience in working with Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language: Java (preferred), Java Script or C#.
• Experience with test frameworks (TestNG/JUnit/Mocha/Jest) and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin).
• Experience in Playwright (with JS/TS) would be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of manual testing concepts, test case design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests with Jenkins.
• Familiar with version control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), and test management tools.
• Able to collaboratively work with a team.
• Able to communicate technical and analytical content with relevant stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Desire to stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, technologies, and industry best practices related to test automation.
