We’re Hiring: 3D Generalist

📍Colombo, Sri Lanka

Digital Turtles is seeking a versatile 3D Generalist to join our team. You will create high quality 3D assets, environments, and visual elements for a wide range of digital projects, including games, AR, VR, simulations, and immersive interactive experiences.

Responsibilities

•⁠ Create high quality 3D models for characters, props, environments, and visual assets across various digital projects

•⁠ Develop textures and materials to enhance realism and visual quality for different platforms and use cases

•⁠ Apply lighting, shading, and rendering techniques to achieve the required mood, style, and visual consistency

•⁠ Optimize 3D assets for real time applications, animations, and interactive experiences

•⁠ Collaborate with designers, animators, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth asset integration

•⁠ Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve artistic and technical challenges throughout the 3D production pipeline

Requirements

•⁠ Proven experience as a 3D Generalist in animation, visualization, interactive media, or related fields

•⁠ Proficiency in 3D modeling and sculpting software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, or ZBrush

•⁠ Strong skills in texturing and material creation using tools like Substance Painter or Designer

•⁠ Solid understanding of lighting, shading, and optimization best practices for multiple platforms

•⁠ Familiarity with real-time engines and visualization tools such as Unreal Engine or Unity

•⁠ Proficiency in using AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, creativity, and workflow efficiency

•⁠ Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools, such as Python, is an advantage

•⁠ Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to changing project requirements

•⁠ A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of 3D assets and completed projects

•⁠ Interest in staying up to date with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies
