Job Description
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help streamline our development and operations processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, automation, and a deep understanding of continuous integration and deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement solutions for scalability and high availability in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
- Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of systems.
- Respond to and resolve incidents related to system performance and availability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Collaborate with development, and testing teams to ensure a seamless and efficient development workflow.
- Implement and maintain security best practices in infrastructure and application deployments.
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 1 year as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of Linux server administration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of networking and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in DevOps or related areas.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools
- Previous experience with Agile methodologies.
