Associate QA Engineer

Job Description

The Associate QA Engineer will support the Quality Assurance team in testing web, mobile, POS, online ordering, payment, and restaurant management solutions while gaining practical experience in software testing, defect reporting, API testing, and release validation.

Job related duties and responsibilities

• Review requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, usability, and end-to-end testing.
• Test web applications, mobile applications, POS systems, APIs, payment gateways, and third-party integrations.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as Jira.
• Retest resolved issues and support release testing.
• Work closely with developers, product teams, and support teams.
• Assist with API testing using Postman and basic database validation.
• Support test automation and continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Prepare test reports and maintain QA documentation.

Required qualifications, experience and skills

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Knowledge of software testing methods and defect management.
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs, Postman, SQL, Git, and Jira.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
