Job Description
The Role
To provide first-line technical support to end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues. The role is based in Wattala and supports smooth day-to-day IT operations by maintaining IT systems, assisting users, escalating complex issues when required, and delivering efficient, user- friendly service in line with organizational standards.
What You'll Do
- Provide first-level technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot system, application, and connectivity problems in a timely manner.
- Respond to IT support requests through phone, email, or ticketing systems and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist with setting up user accounts, email configurations, and access permissions.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Support the installation and upgrading of software applications.
- Maintain IT inventory by tracking hardware and software assets.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and data protection guidelines.
What you'll need
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role (freshers with strong knowledge may also be considered).
- Strong ability to understand complex business problems.
- Experience in an Information Technology (IT) environment is preferred.
- Detail-oriented approach to solution delivery.
