Job Description

The Role

To provide first-line technical support to end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues. The role is based in Wattala and supports smooth day-to-day IT operations by maintaining IT systems, assisting users, escalating complex issues when required, and delivering efficient, user- friendly service in line with organizational standards.

What You'll Do

  • Provide first-level technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot system, application, and connectivity problems in a timely manner.
  • Respond to IT support requests through phone, email, or ticketing systems and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with setting up user accounts, email configurations, and access permissions.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups.
  • Support the installation and upgrading of software applications.
  • Maintain IT inventory by tracking hardware and software assets.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and data protection guidelines.

What you'll need

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role (freshers with strong knowledge may also be considered).
  • Strong ability to understand complex business problems.
  • Experience in an Information Technology (IT) environment is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented approach to solution delivery.
