IT Administrator

About the Role

John Morris Group is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, hands-on, business-focused IT Administrator to manage our wide area network, which encompasses sites in Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. This is a permanent position based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Installation/deployment of software and hardware
  • Management of software licenses
  • General desktop support
  • Managing the VoIP telephone system
  • Managing the company's building security system
  • Enforcing security policies and procedures

Key Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and/or industry networking certification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking systems and protocols, investigatory and break/fix scenarios
  • Experience with investigatory and break/fix scenarios
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server products, including Windows Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server and Hyper-V
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing management
  • Knowledge of and troubleshooting skills in Microsoft desktop operating systems
  • Networking skills including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VoIP, routing and firewalling
