Intern Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Understand requirements clearly & identify relationships of new requirements to existing functionality from a Business perspective.
• Creating detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Do Risk based Test Execution, Time estimation, Reporting, Defect Logging, defect verification and Analyses test results.
• Creating and maintaining tracking sheets to track progress of test case creation and test execution.
• Working with the team to achieve deadlines and on time delivery with quality work and high customer satisfaction.
• Plan and conduct test automations based on project requirements.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new testing tools and test strategies.
• Perform additional duties in line with the current role, as and when requested by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• BSC Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology.
• Solid understanding in testing principles, software development life cycle (SDLC), testing life cycle (TLC) & defect management.
• Knowledge on agile/scrum testing.
• Experience in bug tracking tool (e.g. Jira).
• Basic knowledge in at least one programming language/automation tools (Selenium).
• Certificate in International Standard Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB).
• Effective communication with the team, leadership, internal and external customers covering all aspects of team needs.
• Excellent team player with team management skills and soft skills.
• Out of the box thinking capability.
• Analytical thinking.
• Detail oriented and commitment to completing projects.
