Manual Software Tester (Mid-Level)

We are looking for an experienced Manual Software Tester to join our quality engineering team and help us deliver a reliable, polished product to our users. In this role, you will work closely with developers, product owner, and designers across the full software development lifecycle from understanding requirements early, through executing comprehensive test cycles, to validating fixes and supporting smooth releases.

What you'll be do:

  • Analyze functional and technical requirements, user stories, and design documents to identify testing scope, risks, and edge cases.
  • Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios covering both happy paths and edge cases.
  • Execute manual test cycles - functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, UI/UX, and cross-browser-for new features and bug fixes.
  • Log clear, reproducible defects in the issue tracking system with appropriate severity and priority, along with supporting evidence such as screenshots, screen recordings, environment details, and logs.
  • Verify bug fixes and carry out regression testing across affected areas after each release.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the sprint to clarify requirements, raise concerns early, and confirm that delivered work meets the agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing the QA perspective and providing effort estimates for testing work.
  • Maintain and continuously update the regression test suite as the product evolves.
  • Contribute to release readiness assessments and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when required.
  • Help improve QA processes, test documentation, and reporting standards over time, sharing knowledge and best practices with the wider team.

What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in manual and automation software testing, preferably on web-based or SaaS products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or any other equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Solid knowledge of core testing concepts and methodologies - functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploration, integration, and UAT.
  • Proven ability to write clear, detailed test cases, test plans, and bug reports.
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  • Experience performing cross-browser and cross-device testing on modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and contributing to sprint ceremonies.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and the ability to perform API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for verifying data through database queries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Sharp attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach to investigating issues.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright- even if you do not write automation day-to-day.
  • Experience testing Al-powered, data-intensive, or workflow-heavy applications
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with mobile or responsive web testing
  • Exposure to performance or security testing.
