SENIOR LEAD ARCHITECT

Remote — Sri Lanka

The technical brain of a platform that will redefine fire safety and facilities management across the UAE and beyond.

THE ROLE

FireCORE is a next-generation AI powered SaaS platform built by Fire Dynamics International. As Senior Lead Architect, you will be at the heart of this mission.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Define and own the end-to-end technical architecture across all four platform phases
  • Make critical technology decisions: cloud infrastructure, API design, data models, AI/ML pipeline strategy
  • Lead a distributed team of 10 engineers across mobile, backend, AI/ML, DevOps, and data streams
  • Run daily 15-minute standups and fortnightly cross-team sprint reviews to maintain velocity
  • Establish AI coding tool standards (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) from Sprint 0
  • Define API contracts as the single source of truth across all workstreams
  • Review all AI-generated code before merge — quality gates are non-negotiable
  • Architect the AWS cloud environment, CI/CD pipeline, and deployment strategy from Day 1
  • Own the Phase 1 backlog and Sprint 0 architecture design session
  • Remove decision bottlenecks that would otherwise block parallel workstreams

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a technical lead or architect role
  • Deep expertise in Node.js / Python backend and React Native or React frontend
  • Strong AWS architecture skills: EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, SQS
  • Experience architecting multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale
  • Proven ability to lead distributed engineering teams remotely
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML pipelines and LLM APIs into production systems
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevOps best practices
  • Excellent written and spoken English for documentation and client-facing technical communication

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with IoT data ingestion and BMS connector architectures
  • Familiarity with Oracle integration patterns
  • Knowledge of UAE or GCC regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Previous SaaS platform builds that achieved commercial scale
  • Experience using AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot) in a team production environment
