Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements, taking ownership of QA strategy across multiple projects or modules.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing (manual and automated) to ensure software reliability and performance, with responsibility for defining test automation priorities and coverage metrics.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects while proactively assessing quality risks and recommending mitigation strategies, including risk-based test planning for critical business areas.
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and product quality, leading process improvement initiatives across the QA team.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide technical guidance, and influence design decisions from a quality perspective.
  • Mentor junior QA team members, conduct knowledge sharing sessions, and build QA capability across the organization.
  • Promote a culture of quality across the organization, setting QA best practices and driving adoption of metrics-driven quality improvements.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree or professional qualification in IT/Software Engineering or related field
  • Hands-on experience or knowledge in test automation
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle pressure, conflicts, and urgent issues professionally
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
