Overview

Join AppZ Makers as a BusinessObjects Universe Developer and help turn complex data into powerful business intelligence through innovative analytics architecture. This remote 3-month opportunity is ideal for professionals ready to create meaningful impact from day one.

Responsibilities as a BusinessObjects Universe Developer, you will:

Design, optimize, and maintain high-performance BusinessObjects universes (.unv / .unx) using Information Design Tool (IDT) and Universe Design Tool (UDT).

Build scalable data foundations incorporating complex joins, contexts, and cardinalities.

Develop advanced business layers, including dimensions, measures, hierarchies, and calculated objects.

Efficiently resolve loops, fan traps, and chasm traps to ensure robust data models.

Drive query performance optimization and ensure clean SQL generation.

Translate complex business requirements into user-friendly data models that enhance reporting capabilities.

Ensure governance, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting layers.

Collaborate closely with Web Intelligence (WebI) reporting teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, meeting fast-paced project timelines.

Requirements to be successful in this role, you should possess:

3-5 years of strong experience in SAP BusinessObjects Universe Development.

In-depth expertise in IDT and UDT tools.

Advanced SQL skills and a solid understanding of data modeling principles.

Proficiency in handling joins, contexts, and cardinality, as well as loop and trap resolution.

Experience in performance tuning for optimized data extraction.

Familiarity with Web Intelligence (WebI) reporting tools.

Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and speed.

Experience with Data Warehousing concepts, including Star and Snowflake schemas and ETL processes.

Exposure to SAP HANA and SAP BW environments is a plus.

A background in Oracle Database is beneficial.

Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments is preferred.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
