Associate Frontend Engineer (Mobile, React Native + Expo)

We are looking for an Associate Frontend Engineer with hands-on experience in React Native and Expo to support the development of mobile applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build scalable mobile experiences.

Location: Colombo

Experience Level: At least 2 years (Associate / Junior)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and Expo
  • Translate UI/UX designs into responsive interfaces
  • Integrate APIs and manage data efficiently
  • Debug and fix issues across devices
  • Ensure performance and responsiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Assist in app deployment

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic experience with React Native (Expo is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Familiarity with mobile UI/UX principles
  • Understanding of REST APIs and JSON
  • Knowledge of Git

Nice to Have

  • TypeScript experience
  • State management (Redux, Context, etc.)
  • Firebase or backend services
  • Push notifications and authentication
