QE Engineer - API & Integration

Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on QE Engineer to validate API-driven middleware systems that enable integration between multiple platforms. This role is focused on API testing, integration validation, and automation, ensuring system reliability, accuracy, and performance in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated API test cases
• Validate RESTful APIs (and GraphQL/SOAP where applicable)
• Test request/response payloads, headers, status codes, and error handling
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing for APIs
• Automate API tests using tools/frameworks (e.g., Postman, Playwright, REST Assured)
• Execute API tests in CI/CD pipelines
• Perform negative, boundary, and edge-case testing
• Perform basic performance testing (load, stress, latency) using tools like JMeter
• Log, track, and verify defects using Azure DevOps or JIRA
• Review API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
• Ensure API security aspects such as authentication, authorization, and data privacy
• Maintain test reports and test coverage metrics
• Validate end-to-end integration across multiple systems
