Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to support the growth of our SaaS business in Sri Lanka and regional markets. This role is ideal for an individual who is curious, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-evolving, technology-driven environment. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, engaging prospects, and supporting the expansion of our software solutions across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities for our SaaS products within the Sri Lankan market and selected regional segments.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, digital adoption trends, and competitive SaaS offerings.
- Support the preparation of product demos, proposals, and solution presentations tailored to client requirements.
- Engage with prospective clients through calls, meetings, and digital outreach to support lead generation and conversion.
- Collaborate with the product, marketing, and customer success teams to align business development activities with product capabilities and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, track pipeline progress, and prepare weekly reports for management.
- Assist in planning and executing SaaS-focused campaigns, webinars, and industry events.
- Stay updated on SaaS industry trends, cloud technologies, and digital transformation initiatives relevant to Sri Lanka.
- Demonstrate agility in navigating evolving priorities and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles (experience in SaaS, tech, or digital solutions is an advantage).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts in simple terms.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CRM tools and SaaS sales processes is preferred.
- Understanding of cloud-based software, subscription models, and digital transformation trends is a plus.
