Intern Embedded Systems Engineer
Job Description
Work on real-world IoT hardware, design multi-layer PCBs, develop firmware, and collaborate with software engineer teams to connect physical devices to digital platforms.

What you will do:
- Circuit Design: Design electronic circuits and develop schematics for IoT products.
- PCB Engineering: Design Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) up to 6 layers using modern CAD tools.
- Hardware Bring-up: Troubleshoot and bring up circuit boards after manufacturing.
- Firmware Development: Write firmware for IoT products using MicroPython and C/C++.
- System Integration: Collaborate with the software engineering team for seamless platform integration.
What we are looking for:
- Education: Graduate or Undergraduate in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science Engineering at a reputed university in Sri Lanka.
- Engineering Theory: Strong theoretical understanding of analog and digital electronics.
- Design Tools: Experience in designing PCBs with EasyEDA, KiCAD, or Altium Designer.
- Proven Experience: A portfolio of self-initiated, freelance, or academic assignments in Embedded Systems / Electronics Projects.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python/MicroPython or C/C++ with the ability to code with limited support from AI tools.
- Communication Protocols: Strong understanding of embedded protocols, including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.
- Hands-on Skills: Ability to solder, test, and troubleshoot circuit boards.
- Lab Expertise: Hands-on experience using lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Multimeter, etc.).
- Network Protocols: General understanding of IoT/Network protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, TCP, UDP, and IP.
- Wireless Technology: General understanding and hands-on experience with LTE, GSM, BLE, and WiFi.

- Location: 100% Remote (Sri Lanka-based).
- Working Hours: 3 PM – 11 PM (Dedicated shift).
