Business Analyst Intern - Engineering & AI Systems

Location: Kottawa

Internship (Paid – Performance-Based Growth Path)

This is NOT a typical BA internship.

At Idea8, you won’t sit and write meeting notes.

You'll work on:

• AI-powered vision systems
• Industrial IoT deployments
• Robotics & automation projects
• SaaS platforms (Connect8, Ayubowan AI, internal tools)
• Real factory problems with real budgets

You will sit between engineering, clients, and execution.

What You'll Actually Do

• Break down messy client requirements into structured technical scopes
• Convert conversations into BRDs, SOWs, and execution plans
• Support costing, BOM structuring, and proposal preparation
• Assist in sprint planning and requirement tracking
• Analyze workflows (factory, warehouse, AI systems) and optimize logic
• Work directly with hardware + software teams

You’ll learn how real engineering businesses operate.

Who We're Looking For

• Final-year student or recent graduate (Engineering / IT / Business / Analytics)
• Strong logical thinking (this matters more than GPA)
• Able to understand both technical and business language
• Structured documentation skills
• Comfortable using Notion, Sheets, diagrams, and flowcharts
• Curious about AI, robotics, automation

Bonus:

• Exposure to SaaS, IoT, ERP, or technical documentation
• Experience writing structured proposals

This role requires ownership.
