Role Overview
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing Waterlily Group’s social media strategy across multiple platforms. This role requires creativity, analytical thinking, and strong brand alignment. The position involves periodic work between Colombo and Batticaloa based on business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with company goals
- Create, curate, and manage high-quality content across platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Plan and manage content calendars to ensure consistent brand messaging
- Monitor engagement, analyze performance metrics, and prepare regular performance reports
- Collaborate with internal teams across locations to promote products, services, and company initiatives
- Stay up to date with social media trends, tools, and best practices
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and content strategies
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and cross-location coordination
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Preferred Competencies
- Experience with social media management and scheduling tools
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)
- Familiarity with paid social media advertising and performance optimization
- Willingness and flexibility to work between Colombo and Batticaloa on a periodic basis
