Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer / Associate QA Lead with strong Playwright automation experience to ensure high-quality delivery across web, desktop, and mobile applications. The role focuses on building reliable automated test coverage, validating features across environments, and preventing production defects for a multi-client product.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation – Playwright)

• Design and execute an automation-first QA strategy with strong emphasis on Playwright for web application testing.
• Build, enhance, and maintain scalable and maintainable automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright, along with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end, regression, smoke, and cross-browser automated test suites across multiple environments and client configurations.
• Proactively identify opportunities to convert manual test cases into automated Playwright scripts to improve coverage and release speed.
• Adopt a strong AI-first testing mindset, leveraging AI-powered tools for test generation, optimization, debugging, and defect analysis.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) to enable continuous quality validation.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to review requirements early, clarify edge cases, and ensure high-quality, production-ready releases.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with test automation tools primarily, Playwright, and Postman (for API testing).
• At least 3 years experience in software testing.
• Experience in working with ERP systems strongly preferred, but not essential.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Python, or Java for writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Solid experience in developing test automation frameworks from scratch that are scalable, reusable, and maintainable.
• Experience with API automation, including creating and executing API test scripts with tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Solid understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, and the ability to integrate both into a streamlined testing process.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify, document, and prioritize defects clearly.
• AI-first mindset in quality engineering, applying AI-driven approaches to enhance test design, execution, and continuous quality improvement.
• Tertiary qualification in IT
