Role Overview:
The ideal candidate is an Android developer with deep expertise in Kotlin and the Android SDK, and 3+ years of hands-on experience building real-worid mobile applications. This role involves designing and implementing high-quality user interfaces and mobile features while following best practices in performance, maintainability, and clean code. Only hands-on Android mobile development experience will be considered; unrelated experience such as simple no-code app builders does not qualify.
What does day-to-day look like:
- Designing and implementing Android application features using Kotlin and Android SDK
- Building modular, production-ready components, screens, and flows
- Maintaining high standards of code quality, structure, and readability
- Collaborating closely with backend and product teams to ship features quickly and reliably
- Following engineering best practices around code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Debugging and resolving issues across different OS versions, devices, and screen sizes
Offer Details:
- Commitment needed: 8 hr per day with some overlapping hours with the core team's time zone
- Employment type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave)
- Duration of contract: 6-12 months
- Location: Open to remote candidates across multiple regions
- Two rounds of technical review / interviews with the delivery product team
Requirements:
- 3+ years of practical, production-grade Android development experience
- Deep experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android application architecture
- Strong grasp of state management, navigation, and common Android design patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture)
- Solid understanding of performance, accessibility, and mobile app testing fundamentals
- Proven ability to ship at high speed without sacrificing stability or maintainability
- Proven ability to design user-friendly mobile experiences and collaborate with product/design teams (e.g., working with Figma or similar tools)
