Role Description

This is a contractor role for a Senior Frontend Engineer on an international, distributed team. The engineer will implement and evolve the UI of complex, production web applications using React and TypeScript, shipping high-quality features at speed while upholding best practices in performance, maintainability, and readability. Day-to-day work includes building modular, production-ready components and flows, collaborating closely with backend and product teams, and debugging and resolving frontend issues across browsers and devices. The role also involves maintaining strong test coverage with modern frontend testing tools, adhering to engineering best practices for version control and CI/CD, and continuously improving the user experience and UI consistency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical, production-grade frontend development experience building real-world applications.
• Deep experience with React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern frontend testing frameworks.
• Strong grasp of state management patterns (e.g., Redux, Zustand) and core web fundamentals such as performance, accessibility, and testing.
• Proven ability to ship at speed without sacrificing clarity, correctness, or maintainability of the UI.
• Experience designing or collaborating on UI/UX, and familiarity with design tools such as Figma or similar platforms.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
