About the Role:

General Manager – Sales & Marketing

We are looking for a driven and high-impact General Manager – Sales & Marketing to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who doesn’t just set direction but actively drives deals, closes business, and leads by example.

You will take ownership of business development, sales execution, and client relationships, with direct responsibility for revenue growth and closures. Along with building and mentoring a strong sales team, you will personally engage in key conversations, negotiations, and conversions to ensure targets are achieved.

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
  • Assists in the development of the sales plan. Prepares forecasts and KPI reporting for the sales leaders, CRO, and upper management, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting, and strategic planning.
  • Land and expand build process and funnel for manual top-down reach out, onboarding, activation, and expansion
  • Evangelize the product and personally help close large deals
  • Work collaboratively across teams - including Engineering, Product and Marketing
  • Establish the inbound lead requirements needed to meet sales objectives
  • Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development

NOTE: Should have a good understanding of preferably SAAS products, Global sales, exposure to digital marketing. B-B Sales preferred.

Required Skill set:

  • Having minimum 8 years of relevant sales experience including management of SDR and AE functions and a track record of exceeding quota
  • Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others in them
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives from a sales or marketing person's perspective
  • Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication.
  • Must be proficient at analyzing data, building, reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems
  • Should have team handling experience (15 to 30 people)
  • High level understanding of digital marketing techniques, oversee execution of marketing strategies for generating leads to support sales goals, Build channel partner network and nurture partner engagement
