Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our accounting department, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and maintaining comprehensive financial records. Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including the reconciliation of accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with team members to assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and distribute financial documents and reports as needed for internal stakeholders.
• Assist in the budgeting process by gathering and organizing financial data.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments regarding billing and payment issues.
• Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within the accounting function.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance
• Must be residing in or near Bandaragama
• Valid bike driving license is mandatory
• Ability to handle basic accounting tasks, records, and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Familiarity with manufacturing industry practices is a plus.
• Certification in accounting (e.g., AAT, ACCA) is an advantage, but not required.
