What is the role?

This role plays a critical part in safeguarding Pelwatte Dairy's license-to-operate by ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Ensure compliance with applicable local and international food safety, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Manage licenses, permits, certifications, and regulatory submissions with timely renewals. 
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits (ISO, FSSC, HACCP, GMP, EMS, etc.)
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation, records, and reports.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and government institutions.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate implications to internal stakeholders.
• Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and compliance risk mitigation initiatives.
• Conduct compliance awareness and training sessions in collaboration with relevant teams.

What knowledge and skills are expected in an ideal candidate?

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Food Technology, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Law, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Compliance, ISO, Food Safety, Governance, or Environmental Regulations will be an advantage.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, food safety, quality systems, or audit coordination.
• Previous experience supporting or rolling out digital solutions will be an advantage.
• Prior experience in dairy, FMCG, or food manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Experience working with regulatory authorities and compliance documentation systems.
