Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Mobile Developer Intern to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications that provide exceptional user experiences. This opportunity is ideal for undergraduates eager to gain practical experience in Android or cross-platform mobile development while collaborating closely with senior developers, designers, and backend engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of mobile applications for Android or cross-platform environments.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to effectively integrate APIs and services.
• Implement UI components that align with design specifications to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Identify and troubleshoot bugs while contributing to enhancements for app performance.
• Participate actively in testing, debugging, and deployment processes.
• Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and version control workflows.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to mobile development projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of mobile application development concepts.
• Familiarity with at least one mobile development framework or language: Android (Java/Kotlin) or cross-platform frameworks (React Native/Flutter).
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and mobile-backend communication.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles relevant to mobile applications.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git/GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Candidates must be based in Kandy or be able to commute to Kandy

Nice-to-Have (Added Advantage)

• Experience with React Native, especially in relation to MERN-based backends.
• Basic knowledge of app deployment processes for Play Store and App Store.
• Experience with design tools such as Figma for UI implementation.
• Interest in performance optimization and mobile security.
