Position: Quality Assurance (QA) Intern

Department: QA / Software Development

Internship Duration: 6 Months ( 1 year adjustable)

Reports To: QA Team Lead / Project Manager

Role Overview

The QA Intern will assist the QA team in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications before release. The intern will participate in test planning, test execution, documentation, and reporting issues to the development team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in software testing or quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and report defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Assist in preparing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform regression testing, functional testing, and UI/UX testing.
• Work closely with developers and designers to understand requirements.
• Verify bug fixes and update test results accordingly.
• Participate in daily standups, reviews, and sprint meetings.
• Maintain clear and detailed testing documentation.
• Support the QA team in maintaining quality standards across projects.

Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Familiarity with manual testing processes; automation knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to identify issues and pay close attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
