About Tech Support Squad
Tech Support Squad is an international managed service provider (MSP) supporting organisations across the UK and beyond. We specialise in proactive IT support, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and infrastructure management for growing businesses.
We are expanding our team in Sri Lanka to support our remote support model while maintaining a professional physical presence in Colombo. This is an opportunity to join a global operation, work with modern environments, and grow in a technically challenging, fast-moving MSP environment.
This is not an entry-level role — we are looking for someone with strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to work independently.
The Role
You will work mostly remotely from home, with travel into Colombo twice per week for on-site work at client locations and partner offices.
You will be handling L2 / L3 support issues, proactive infrastructure maintenance, escalations, and project work for international clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote L2 / L3 support to UK and international clients
- Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure and network issues
- Support and manage:
- Active Directory / Group Policy
- Microsoft 365 / Exchange / SharePoint / Teams
- Windows Server & Virtualisation
- Backup systems & disaster recovery
- Firewall / VPN / Networking setups
- Attend on-site visits in Colombo approx. 2 days per week
- Assist with client projects (migrations, upgrades, rollouts)
- Maintain clear documentation and update the service desk
- Communicate with international stakeholders professionally
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years experience as an IT Engineer / Support Engineer / Systems Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Windows Server environments
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Microsoft 365 / Azure
- Endpoint management & troubleshooting
- Networking (switches, routers, VLANs, VPN, firewalls)
- Confident working independently
- Fluent in spoken & written English
- Based in or within easy reach of Colombo
- Able to work UK-aligned support hours
Highly Desirable (Not Essential)
- Microsoft / Azure / CCNA certifications
- MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience
- Experience supporting international clients
- Experience with RMM / ticketing systems (N-Able, SysAid)
- Knowledge of cyber-security best practices
