Job Overview

We’re looking for five creative and persuasive Content Writers who enjoy crafting stories that inspire, engage, and inform. In this role, you’ll write for websites, blogs, and digital platforms to help brands communicate effectively and connect meaningfully with their audiences. This position offers the flexibility to work hybrid or fully remote from anywhere in Sri Lanka.

About the Role

As a Creative Content Writer, you’ll create persuasive, well-researched, and original content for websites and digital platforms. You’ll collaborate with marketing, design, and strategy teams to turn ideas into stories that resonate with real audiences across multiple niches.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Content Strategy

• Conduct trend, market, and keyword research to identify high-opportunity topics.
• Analyze competitors, audience behavior, and search intent across fitness, automobile, business, classifieds, and general topics.
• Build topic calendars and propose ideas aligned with marketing goals and editorial priorities.

Content Creation

• Write engaging, persuasive, and well-researched content for websites, blogs, and marketing materials.
• Develop creative storytelling that reflects brand identity and connects with target audiences.
• Produce SEO-optimized, GEO-targeted, and AIO (AI-optimized) content following editorial guidelines and structure.
• Create SEO-focused articles, landing page copy, and product/service descriptions tailored for visibility and conversion.
• Adapt tone and style across niches while maintaining originality, clarity, and brand consistency.

Content Publishing & Management

• Publish via WordPress, vBulletin, PhpBB, SMF Forum, and the company’s dedicated Publisher Portal. ( We can train you if you aren't familiar with these platforms)
• Ensure on-page SEO best practices (meta titles/descriptions, headings, internal links, readability).
• Collaborate with design and marketing to align copy with visuals, layout, and campaign objectives.
• Edit and proofread for accuracy, tone, and grammatical quality prior to publishing.

Performance & Quality

• Follow detailed editorial guidelines for structure, tone, and SEO compliance.
• Track and report performance (engagement, ranking, conversion impact) and iterate to improve results.
• Maintain a consistent publishing cadence with reliable turnaround times and quality standards.

Language Advantage ( Optional )

• The ability to write or translate in Sinhala or Tamil is a definitive advantage.

Performance & Growth Measurement (KPIs)Salary growth and progression are based on measurable KPIs, including:

Requirements

• Based in Sri Lanka (Onsite, remote, or hybrid options available)
• Minimum of two years of practical experience in content writing, copywriting, or blogging
• Excellent command of English (writing, grammar, storytelling)
• Experience with web publishing/CMS (WordPress preferred)
• Strong attention to detail; reliable with deadlines
• Portfolio of published work (articles, blogs, website copy)

Salary Range

🎓 Interns: Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 35,000
For individuals with no prior work experience who are eager to start a career in content writing. This stage focuses on training, mentorship, and the development of core writing and publishing skills under senior guidance.

🧩 Experienced Writers: Rs. 35,000 – Rs. 60,000
For candidates with over one year of experience in content writing, blogging, or copywriting. Writers at this level are expected to create SEO-optimized, research-based content with minimal supervision and meet performance targets consistently.

💼 Expert level professional writers: Rs. 75,000 – Rs. 125,000
For experienced professionals with over two years of experience in the editorial, media, news, or journalism industry. This tier values individuals who can produce high-quality, data-backed, and editorial-standard content, manage topics independently, and contribute to brand growth through storytelling and strategic writing.
