Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive QA Lead – Automation with strong expertise in designing, implementing, and managing automation frameworks across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. In this role, you will lead automation initiatives to optimize testing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure flawless product delivery across multiple client environments. You will guide and mentor QA teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive quality strategies that guarantee robust, scalable, and defect-free solutions in production.

Key Responsibilities as Quality Assurance Lead:

• Manage the Quality Assurance team in the planning, development, and execution of testing strategies and plans to ensure quality.
• Take ownership of the Test Strategy, setting direction for the test automation plan and implementation.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans and test cases for web, desktop, and mobile applications based on business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Independently build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks from scratch using tools such as Selenium (C#, Python, or Java), Playwright, Postman, and other modern automation frameworks, ensuring scalability, reusability, and long-term maintainability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in test automation, proactively identifying automation opportunities across functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing areas.
• Develop and execute robust API testing and automation strategies using tools like Postman or Rest Assured, integrating them into the overall automation framework.
• Assist your team to develop and implement test plans, scripts, tools, and procedures for both manual and automated testing.
• Oversee scope approval process and exception path content approval for each release and provide clearance for any changes between releases.
• Assist with, and review of, estimation, schedules, plans, and results.
• Monitor all testing related activities and ensure schedules are adhered to.
• Ensures that deployed releases meet the high-quality expectations from internal and customer stakeholders.
• Drive accountability across the team by implementing appropriate KPIs, and create an environment where everyone is respected, challenged, and encouraged to positively contribute to achieve outstanding results.
• Final point of signoff for all goes no-go recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with other leaders including development team leads and deployment leads.

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years’ experience in software testing
• At least 2+ years’ experience in Lead Level
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Proficiency with Selenium (using C#, Java, or Python) Playwright Experience with (or similar tools like Cypress or Puppeteer)
• Experience in working with ERP systems strongly preferred, but not essential
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies
• Experience with functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
• Ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch
• Good grasp of test automation design patterns and best practices
• Integration of automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
