Edys.lk is a dynamic and growing e-commerce company. We have recently launched our Shopify-based online store and are looking for a motivated Junior Shopify Developer to join our team. Position: Junior Shopify Developer

Location: No.30, 62E Malalasekara Mawatha, Colombo 05

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain our Shopify-based e-commerce website.
• Implement updates, troubleshoot issues, and optimize website performance.
• Work on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) strategies to improve online visibility.
• Assist in basic graphic design tasks (e.g., product images, banners, and simple edits).
• Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance user experience and conversion rates.
• Ensure website security, speed, and mobile responsiveness.
• Customize Shopify themes and apps as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Diploma or higher in IT, Web Development, Digital Marketing, or related field (skills and experience will be prioritized over formal education).

Technical Skills:

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Shopify (theme customization, Liquid templating, app integration).
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP/Laravel (since Shopify is built on some Laravel components).
• Familiarity with SEO & SEM (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, keyword research).
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
