System Engineer - (KANDY DATACENTER)

About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled and proactive System Engineer to join our IT and infrastructure team. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure systems that power our organization’s operations. If you're passionate about optimizing performance, ensuring uptime, and building infrastructure that lasts, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage servers, storage, and virtualization environments
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
• Automate routine tasks using scripts or configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Bash)
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and secure configurations
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for system-related issues and escalations
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and audits

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1+ years in a System Engineer or similar infrastructure role
• Strong experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Server+, AWS/Azure certifications
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to monitoring tools
• Background in ITIL or change management processes
