Responsibilities

• Conducting defect triage meetings and providing details of defects to the team
• Writing test cases, executing tests and recording results
• Responsible for all aspects of quality assurance through manual testing
• Monitoring and debugging issues in both staging and production environments
• Manual testing of front-end, API and back-end layers
• Building and executing detailed test plans from functional requirements
• Creating accurate and concise bug reports.

Requirements

• 5+ years of quality testing experience required
• A bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• The ability to work independently across multiple projects, and to meet deadlines
• The ability to rapidly grasp and apply complex business and technical concepts
• Entrepreneurial in your approach and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must have a sound understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Postgres/MySQL database testing experience
• CSS, HTML, JavaScript front-end testing experience
• Expert with JIRA or similar bug tracking tool
• Experience testing REST APIs
• Unix shell basics
• Some programming knowledge; especially Java or Angular.
