Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Selence or Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the software industry Experience in managing and leading engineering teams
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Deep understanding of software design and patterns
• Understanding of continuous integration and TDD
• Highly motivated and proactive with a positive attitude
• Able to coach and mentor other members of the team
• Able to work independently without constant management
• Take ownership and work well under pressure to respond quickly to any issues
• Flexible to adapt readily to changing priorities and working practices
• Professional Serum Master certification would be an added advantage

Responsibilitie

• Lead an Agile development team thru the full SDLC from discovery through to delivery
• Develop technical strategies to support short and long term business growth requirements
• Grow the development team (recruit, train and retain)
• Analyse requirements and design high quality, scalable solutions
• Adopt industry best practices and continuously improve organisational standards
• Communicate with cross-functional teams and collaborate in achieving development goals
• Monitor sprint progression and ensure deliverables are met
• Creating and updating documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
• Learn and update the knowledge on latest technologies and transfer the same to the team
• Provide technical guidance to the team and facilitate professional growth
• Adopt and promote modern software engineering principles and industry best practice
• Deep understanding of software design and architectural patterns
• Mentor the next generation of software developers to be the best that they can be
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of our products and business
• Work with other teams (UX, Support, DBA's, Tech, stakeholders)
