Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Junior Software Engineer at Insights Edge. The Junior Software Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with software development, including back-end web development and programming. The role is located in Colombo, with flexibility for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop web-based applications with a focus on quality and performance.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
• Apply engineering and architectural best practices to deliver scalable and maintainable code.
• Ensure product performance and maintainability by adhering to company standards, guidelines, and processes.
• Conduct thorough testing and documentation to ensure product reliability and usability.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the solutions meet their requirements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• Previous internship experience in a related field is a plus.
• Proficiency in React, Node.js, and database technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices and Agile SDLC methodologies.
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
