Role Summary

We are seeking an aspiring and data-driven individual with a passion into cybersecurity to join a rapidly growing team of Technical Professionals in the domain of Information Security, as an Intern Data Analysts. You will be employed within the Engineering team and work directly with the Security Operations team. will work hand-in-hand with experienced security analysts to delve into the world of DR and Security Data Lakes, uncovering insights and patterns that empower proactive threat detection and incident response. This internship presents a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the exciting field of security analytics, contribute to real-world projects, and learn from industry experts.

What you will be doing

• Build, maintain and troubleshoot analytics and visualization platforms including
• Security Data Lakes, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana and Power BI.
• Analyze security data from XDR platforms and Security Data Lakes using SQL, Power Query, KQL and Python.
• Create compelling visualizations and dashboards to present key findings and trends.
• Develop and automate data analysis workflows to streamline and optimize the process of finding actionable insights.
• Generate clear and concise reports that summarize your findings and recommendations.
• Actively engage with internal R&D teams in the adoption of strategic technologies for the enhancement of security posture and efficiency of service delivery processes.

Qualifications

• Following a bachelor's degree (equivalent) programme in a related discipline of Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.
• Strong foundation and understanding in data analysis principles and statistics.
• Working knowledge of languages including SQL, Power Query, KQL and Python.
• Experience of data visualization tools but not limited to Power BI, Kibana and Grafana.
• Understanding of JSON and scripting skills in JavaScript and Python with comprehensive knowledge into web services and APIs.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and technologies (e.g., XDR, SIEM, threat intelligence).
• Comprehensive written and verbal English language skills is a mandatory requirement.
