e-Swabhimani 2012

The e-Swabhimani Award offers a platform for all who value the creative use of ICTs and who are committed to making today’s information society more inclusive. 

This is an initiative by the Information Communication technology agency of Sri Lanka to recognize excellence in digital content creation. It is expected that this  national award would stimulate a greater interest in the development of a wide range of content and services that would serve the needs of society.

The e-Swabhimani Award process is being conducted along the lines of the World Summit Award and has input from the Digital Empowerment Foundation if India as the Knowledge Partner to ensure that the jury process conforms to international standards. e-Swabhimani 2012 is of special significance as it will be the precursor for selection of the Country’s best in digital content and application for submission to the World Summit Award 2013.

Submissions: 02nd August  2012 to 30th September  2012

Submission of Supporting materials/Installations: 01st October  2012 to 15th October  2012

Review of Applications by the Grand Jury:  02nd November  2012 to 04th November 2012

The Gala Event: January 2013
